A woman in a red sleeveless top stands with a black, white, and gray dog on a podium that has a sign reading 'Best Baby Puppy In Show' at a dog competition, with a man in a blue suit holding a large orange ribbon to the left and a woman in a blue shirt to the right, with greenery and a brick building in the background.

Athletes, clowns and devoted companions

all in one extraordinary little dog

Two fluffy white and brown puppies sitting close together on a green indoor carpet, wearing colorful rainbow scarves, with a wicker basket and blurred background.
A woman in a black jacket with patches on the sleeve herds black and white sheep in a muddy outdoor pen with a wooden fence, trees, and a house in the background during foggy weather.

There are less than 100 Löwchens in Canada. We are committed to seeing this number grow.

The Löwchen Club of Canada (LCC) encourages and promotes quality in the breeding of purebred Löwchen. We urge our members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) as the only standard of excellence by which Löwchen are judged. We do all in our power to protect the welfare and advance the interests of the breed, and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at shows and trials.
