2007
National Specialty
The theme of this year’s
Specialty is the Inuksuk (EE-Nook-Sook). The Inuksuk is a symbol
of the human spirit with deep roots in the Inuit culture. It
recognizes our ability to succeed with others, where alone we
might fail. It reminds us of our need to belong to something
greater than ourselves and prompts us to reconnect with our
individual responsibility to invest our efforts today so that we
may all have a better tomorrow. To me, this reflects the role of
the Specialty Club in the preservation of our breed.
The
LCC Specialty this year will be held in conjunction with the Mt
Cheam Canine Association All Breed Shows & Trials in
Chilliwack, BC. Show dates are September 21, 22 & 23, 2007.
Our Specialty will be held on Saturday. September 22nd.
Our judge for this event is Mr Edward Wild of Chatham, Ontario who
has agreed to do written critiques. Puppy Sweepstakes will be
judged by Ms Tempest Deptuch of Louis Creek, BC.
Show
Secretary for the Specialty is JM Show Services (email:
mcmurphy@telusplanet.net).
I will be forwarding a list of both LCC and LCA members to be
added to her mail out list.
The ‘official’
hotel is the Chilliwack Comfort Inn and you should book early.
Phone (604)858-0636 for reservations (ask for the Mt Cheam Canine
Association group rate)
